Mo Westworth

Mo, founder of 'Unison Rock Academy' studied music at Aberdeen and has been teaching music for 12 years in various secondary and primary schools. Most recently as Head of Music at Southam College where she developed bands and directed many very successful school productions. She is a very experienced musician, highly proficient piano player and vocal/performance coach. Her love of live music and experience in music education led her to setting up 'Unison Rock Academy'.


Gemma Leahy

Gemma is a singer/songwriter from Leamington spa with over 30 years of performance experience.Starting off singing with her dad's country band at the age of 2, she later moved on be a session singer in studios and live shows.

Keen to make a career of music she joined the Big Help training teem as a performance and vocal coach in 2004 and volunteered in the Teenidol training scheme.

Since them she has worked for county youth services as a vocal coach and also teaches in song writing workshops, and is the artist in residence at Cardinal Newman School working as a vocal coach and assisting in the music department with GCSE song writing. She is currently working on a solo album due for release later this year


Matt Waddell-Guitar/Bass/Songwriting/Recording

Matt has worked in the industry for over 20 years and is an accomplished musician in multiple instruments having played in bands and as a session musician. He has had the opportunity to work with many great artists and bands like Ocean colour scene, Tony Iommi , and more recently even Sir Cliff Richard.

As a writer he has worked closely with many local and international artist, and has even written songs for artists such as Will Young.

Matt currently teaches Music and Music Technology at Cardinal Newman, Coventry as well as running the Saturday URA in Leamington Spa.




Sian Phillips – Fiddle Tutor (schools)

Sian's professional career has seen her perform at festivals, concerts, workshops and seminars throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. She has played with The Constitution Hillbillies, Meic Stevens, Wild Welsh Women, Celtish and more recently, MoonDance. She is currently a session musician and has also featured in numerous television and radio folk programmes over the past 20 years.

Sian is a very experienced teacher who currently teaches fiddle for URA as well as teaching privately.
